Low rings should work with 42mm scope.
Better to shoulder the rifle and put a ruler on top of your action and see what height your eye lines up to. Add the ring height to the height of the base and the distance to the middle of the ocular ring of the scope and see what if that height is close to the mark on the ruler.Frank

you'll have to contact the manufacturers for data that's not available on something like swfa. or research the internet to get them. you also have to factor in the height of the base. i don't believe seekins published that. best to call them. me emailing them took a while for them to respond (like 1 week i think).
NF will prefer you to call than email. i guess their CS doesn't want to give bad data due to mis-interpretation on both sides via email. they preferred i call instead.
but as fjold said, you also have to get a feel for what you want as a height. me, i want it as low as possible.
[edit] here is what seekins emailed me back on their 20moa base. i was considering of them on my 5r but this is for a 50mm bell and a 34mm tube.
The back is .4495 tall and .3180 tall in the front, hope this helps. On most 50mm bells we recommend the mediums to medium highs depending on the barrel contour in the 30mm scopes. Hope this helps.
an acquaintance of mine bought medium seekins but had a 56mm objective lens (falcon menace). you might be OK with 42 with low but best to get measurements.Last edited by high_revs; 04-11-2014, 12:43 PM.Comment
