What's the best color for a bolt rifle?

I am just curious what people preferred. It seems like tan has been the most popular for a while, but I am seeing more multicolored stuff lately. I am partial to green.

Just go multi. I bought a OD green AICS chassis and used krylon and a sponge to create this pattern. I loved this pattern when I saw it on GAP's website for their Thunder Ranch rifle. Mine is tweeked a bit; I added brown.

if I get tired of the pattern I can take it off with acetone or paint thinner and do another one...or at least I think I can

weg: That device is obsolete now. They replaced it with wizards.
frank: Wait a minute. There are more than one wizard? Is [are?] the wizard calibrated?

Very well done, sir. I have been trying to decide as well. I feel inspired now. I might do something similar in a more desert friendly scheme.

Looks great......I purchased several cans of camo spray paint and plan on attemping a camo job on my Ruger American. Figured I would start out with something that I couldn't mess up the value to bad......I will say a nice real hardwood stock still wins me over

I do not believe that AI has used an "OD" green; it's just "green". You may be referring to the Glocks that are in "OD" green. Nonetheless, that is a nice looking rifle.

Looks like you are right sir...

Just checked the site I bought it and it says "green," although it very closely matches the OD green magpul furniture my wife's AR sports. The AI color is slightly lighter.

What can I say? I just love the classic look of a wooden riflestock. If it's good ol' 'Murrican walnut, so much the better.

My favorite color is pink. I like long walks on the beach on warm summer nights, and cuddling in front of a fireplace when it's rainy and cold outside.

It doesn't matter what color the rifle is as long as you paint bright orange flames on it.

This pink gun set 4 world records and won a national title.

I was unaware that they showcased guns at the Milan Fashion Show.

Posts like this have me ready to test out a paint pattern I have in mind on my pellet rifle. My only fear is that it will turn out so great that I will be unable to repeat it on my bolt....

No surprise hardwood's winning. I had no problem recently selecting a camo stocked Tikka .308!
Yes I took the pic, no I didn't go swimming!
