I am just curious what people preferred. It seems like tan has been the most popular for a while, but I am seeing more multicolored stuff lately. I am partial to green.

Just go multi. I bought a OD green AICS chassis and used krylon and a sponge to create this pattern. I loved this pattern when I saw it on GAP's website for their Thunder Ranch rifle. Mine is tweeked a bit; I added brown.
if I get tired of the pattern I can take it off with acetone or paint thinner and do another one...or at least I think I can

Very well done, sir. I have been trying to decide as well. I feel inspired now. I might do something similar in a more desert friendly scheme.Just go multi. Looks great......I purchased several cans of camo spray paint and plan on attemping a camo job on my Ruger American. Figured I would start out with something that I couldn't mess up the value to bad......I will say a nice real hardwood stock still wins me overComment

Looks like you are right sir...
Just checked the site I bought it and it says "green," although it very closely matches the OD green magpul furniture my wife's AR sports. The AI color is slightly lighter.Comment

What can I say? I just love the classic look of a wooden riflestock. If it's good ol' 'Murrican walnut, so much the better."San Francisco Liberal With A Gun"

Posts like this have me ready to test out a paint pattern I have in mind on my pellet rifle. My only fear is that it will turn out so great that I will be unable to repeat it on my bolt....
I don't know how political I am, I don't get into all that crap....I just love freedom...
