    .
I bail one of these out on Friday. Really looking forward to it.

I was so hot on grabbing one that I couldn't wait for the 18" stainless... just wanted to be sure I had one asap. You know the feeling... (I completely overlooked it's introduction over three years ago... guess I was too busy having fun w/ a CZ 527 Carbine...)

I plan on shooting it a bunch before I scope it. I'm also going to use the "forward-mounted telescope" installation. Leupold offers an "intermediate (IER) eye-relief Scout" scope..

I've got three Ruger polymer 10-rd mags for it; I would like to get three 5-rd and three 3-rd'rs. Undecided on which sling to use... either the Ching sling or a Boonie Packers.

I tried my friends Scout in my 308 Hawkeye stock and my bottom metal an fit fits perfectly.

I also tried my Hawkeye flush bottom metal on the Scout stock and it fits except it doesn't allow one of the scout cross bolts to be installed because of the internal mag. But I think it can be made to work if someone desired a flush bottom metal.

For hunting, I'd keep the rifle in factory form but use a 3 round flush mag.

Let me know how you like the forward mounted scope,
haven't been able to get used to that yet, but the Scout certainly is a fine rifle
