Marlin 336C .30-30 conversion to a WWG CoPilot

I want the WWG Alaskan CoPilot conversion to convert my Marlin 336C. I want the standard CoPilot conversion except with a WWG big loop lever, a parkerized finish, WWG Scout mount for a scope. Should I keep the standard barrel length or go with something different?

I really like the CoPilot's takedown version and how it makes cleaning so much easier. Also I like how they tuned the trigger to 3 lbs. and they improved the Marlin ejector system to name a few.

Making my Marlin 336C .30-30 into a WWG CoPilot will be worth the added expense.

Any opinions on the CoPilot conversion other than the added cost.

I also like the co-pilot but I went with a miroku/winchester 1886 in 45/70 takedown and sent it out to turnbull mfg to have the barrel cut down to 16". I just sent the rifle out last saturday and havent got a quote yet, also want some other mods done. I think wwg conversion is quite pricey.

Go with it! I love those rifles, standard length if it's sufficient for ballistics. Pics are a must!
Yes I took the pic, no I didn't go swimming!

Just looking on YouTube, you can see the quality of the CoPilot. When they swap out the Marlin 336C barrel I could ask them about which barrel length is the best for accuracy.

What finish should I get? There is no extra cost for the Parkerize finish, but I do like some of the other finishes that I have seen on YouTube. That finish like stainless steel but not as shinny is really nice. Maybe I should stick with the stock finish.

Which scope should I get other than one that comes with the CoPilot.

I still have to iron out everything I want on my CoPilot build, so I won't have any regrets. Should I stick with the traditional look, or go with something different like the finish that is almost like a stainless finish. Decisions, decisions?

I what kind of barrel they use? I wonder if it is a Bartlein barrel like on my GAP rifles? If it performs so much better than the stock Marlin 336C barrel, I would be better off going with the CoPilot barrel since it is included in the price. Getting the best performing rifle is worth the extra expense, rather trying save where ever you can and regretting not having the work done.

How about the FDE Brunt Orange?

I decided to get my Marlin 366C and get WWG's CoPilot conversion, now I need to gather all packing material so it will be packed right. I wonder if I could the old box and packing material from local gun shop.

That should be awesome! Please post a review when you get it back. How long does it take?

The quote I got, is the build takes about. Since I am providing my Marlin, hopefully it take as long. I can deal with long wait, if you get quality. I have GAP Crusader and a GAP-10 so I familiar with the long build time, but hopefully the CoPilot won't take that long.
