    1pc scope mount on a 5r?

how much of a clearance issue will i have (or will i even have any) mounting my american defense 1pc scope mount (with a falcon menace scope) over my 5r? i have a badger 20moa base. i have my 34mm scope rings already but i still have to get my scope (just saving, taking my time).

in the meantime, i want to shoot the dang thing. i was informed by another shooter/nra instructor that 1pc aren't recommended because it can be harder to clear if a case doesn't eject fully or something. i can see that since the scope mount will wrap around the base below the edge of the base above the ejection port. but i'm not sure if that really is enough to be a problem.

what say those who have a 1pc mount on their bolt action?

I don't see why it would cause any major issues...

That ADM mount is an AR height... Scope might be too high unless you run a stock with a adjustable comb. Is there a different ADM product I am not seeing?

nah.. same as you probably are seeing extreme x. i was just concerned since the adm mount would clamp around the edge of the rail that there'll be less clearance above the ejection port. that or vs. 2 pc rings where there's no additional obsrruction above the ejection port. will try it out hopefully this weekend and see how it goes.

the ADM scope mount was high for sure. at least i got to shoot it today. weird that i had to really crank down the elevation just at 25 yds. i finally get one to w/in 1" and decided i'll go to 100. then the dang thing was like 1.5' up high. cranked down elevation again and even switched to higher quality ammo. high quality ammo (and heavier) had more of a rise too.

at least i got to shoot it even if only like 13 shots. it was funny how high the cheek weld was looking thru the falcon menace on a adm 1pc scope mount. gonna have to be a safe queen until i get the scope for it.

Anything AR height is generally always too high for a bolt action... What type of stock do you run?

I've seen people use AR height scopes on multiples occasions but generally on rigs that were more setup for the height like chassis system where the barrel is in a hardguard.
