Savage 11/111 Trophy Hunter XP?

Anyone know what height( high, med, low ) rings come stock on the Savage 11/111 Trophy Hunter XP 308 w/ Nikon ProStaff 3-9x40mm scope?

I'm guessing that they're low.

The bottom of the front of the scope is about 3/8" from the barrel/receiver.

It looks to me like high. I have that AND a Savage Mark II. I got the identical scope for the Mark II and went with Medium and the Rimfire version of the scope barely clears the barrel, where there is a nice gap for the Trophy.

Im thinking of ordering a set of mediums to replace the stock ones

What do you have? I have Burris. I might be interested in trading. My mediums don't leave clearance to put covers over the front of the scope.

I'm not sure what I have, but they will not stay tight, that's why I'm getting rid of them.

Put some blue loc-tite. I run the stock rings on my 300 win mag 111 with no issues. I run a monarch 4-16
