Get the 0.75" diameter one with 5/8-24 threads and a 30 caliber exit hole.
Then, I can shorten the brake until it matches the muzzle diameter instead of having to taper down the larger diameter one.

That would be awesome. I have the 5R barrel that is kinda flat stainless looking, do you have any recommendations for getting the brake to match closer?

I got this same brake on my old 700 SPS Varmint in 308. Randall did the work as well.

I just ordered one from Ross Schuler. I have not gotten it yet, but will probably receive it in a few days. I do not have any info on how it helped my 7mm Rem Mag yet, but I was impressed that Ross actually called me on the phone after I sent him a email about his brake. He discussed my rifle, my barrel, and what brake would work best for me and my application. Customer service like that is priceless and I will buy all my brakes from him from now on. I know I can call him up and ask a question.
