Another one of those Which Scope To Get?

My friends,

Im sure you've seen a lot of Which scope to get threads, but this one is definitely tricky.

Im originally from Russia, and grew up pretty much shooting Russian stuff. So anything outside of a PSO-1 is a new world to me. Like an alien world.

I just purchased a brand new CZ 527 in 7.62x39. Been really wanting this little beast since I first shot it 8 years ago.

So you probably know what Im going to ask.

Yep, which scope would you recommend to put on that gunski ?

Budget is $300-400

Also, I really like Harris bipod, so I want to know if I could easily put it on as well, and which one to get? Or does it even matter which Harris bipod it is ?

This scope is a serious bargain, as it uses Mark 4 Lens and coatings.

Leupold makes several levels of scope; with Mark 4 representing a high level of optic clarity and quality. The Mark 4 process has highly polished glass with specific coatings over the lenses that reduce glare, dramatically improve resolution and low light transmission.

I have a a number of Ziess and upper end Leupolds, and both are fantastic. This Ziess Conquest is an insane price for that level of optical performance. I own both and personally like this Ziess Conquest over the Leupold. Stunning razor sharp clarity from the very edge of the glass to the other extreme edge. No Redfield or Nikon will hold a candle to this scope, unless you pay closer more than $600.

I heard a lot about Ziess optics, in fact I used to own an original East German AK-74 with the Ziess scope designed specifically for that rifle. What an awesome piece of glass it was.

So all those options lol, what to get what to get.

Now I also hear Swarovski makes good glass, but its like super expensive right?

Amazon has lots of dealer and many are not factory authorized.

Talk about bright! You should see the Mark 6 scopes.

Yes, you're right that Swarovski is excellent in every regard - but extremely expensive. The Ziess Conquest scopes are much more affordable since they are assembled in the USA. Also the "remanufactured" Ziess scopes are are absolutely perfect and I question if they are not actually new, but just a scheme to discount them. I own a Conquest 3-9x40mm as above for my Remington 22lr bolt rifle. My Remington 700 LTR .223 has a Ziess Conquest 6.5-20x50mm that is simple brilliant.

I've never met anyone sorry for buying Ziess, just most cannot afford this level of quality. This Conquest scope from SWFA's sample list is a remarkable opportunity. Euro glass is impressive, but difficult to afford.

SWFA has their "Sample List" and Natchez does alot of refurbished. The SWFA list is pretty straightforward, whatever they have is shown on the list. Natchez lists alot of refurbished in their catalog, but not everything is in stock.
