Timney trigger, what do I need to know?

Buying one for my remington 700 and would like some feedback. I have one of their triggers on another rifle and love it. I have shot a jewel, but it is a little pricy for me.
What do I need to know about the Timney trigger? Any favorite models?

Timney triggers are great with a good warranty
Get bottom bolt release and top safety.
Some come without a safety mainly for varmints shooting off a bench.
The best thing you can do with any rifle is to upgrade the trigger. Its the heart of the gun.
You can call them direct and have them send it with whatever pull weight you want, factory set.

Just put a Timney 512 in my 700 last week. Picked up from Red Hawk Rifles for $125 delivered and it came in 2 days.

Went in easy except for some super tight trigger pins in my gun. No fitment issues with a Bell & Carlson stock and factory bottom metal.

I left the pull weight as set from the factory, took about 20 minutes to install.

I'm running one in my 700. Picked it up on sale through Midway. It's nice and crisp, as should be expected. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/544...b-to-4-lb-blue

I have installed a couple on Rem 700's and a couple on Ruger M77's. No problems.

Waiting on my Manners T5A to install mine. Ordered from Nathan at http://www.shortactionprecision.com/. He's over on CAPRC and had good prices which made it a no brainer to order from him.

They are awesome triggers. On an AR, the Gieselle SSA or SSA/E edge them out a bit, but on any other platform the Timneys are good to go. Get it.

Nice set at 1.5lbs. I prefer the curved trigger over the flat one. Make sure to get the safety.

One other random note, the first time I tried a Timney on a 700 I hated the curved trigger. But that was in a chassis with a pistol grip. With a standard rifle stock shape I love the curved trigger.

Great trigger on a R700. Get the one with a safety.

Some great input here, Thanks to all.
Looks like I will get the model 510 trigger with safety. It has the regular curved trigger.

Good call. I hear that some bottom metals need to be milled out a little to fit them, but mine fits my PTG DBM without any issues.
