    Rifle holder?

I'm at the 100 yard bench at the range. I have two bolt actions with me. I'm shooting one rifle and the other is sitting under the bench 9or on the next bench on a bipod bolt open pointing down range.

There is no rifle rack so it's either on the bipod pointing down range or in the bag.

Is that considered poor form or a range violation?

The reason I'm asking is that I'm looking for ideas or a small lite weight rifle stand/holder. The bipod works well but it's a pain to attach/detach everytime I switch rifles.

As long as it's pointed down range in a safe direction in an area where the range allows you to put rifles, it's a non-issue. I just toss the rifle I'm not currently using back into a bag and leave it next to me. I'd rather do that than leave it sitting out behind me on some rack where I can't see it.

As long as the business end is pointed down range and the action is open and clear your should be fine.
I'm only smiling at you while you talk to me because it's hilarious that you really think I give a crap about you.

As I've gotten older I thought I was gaining patience, then I realized I simply don't give a crap.

Get a second bipod. That solves the issue w/o having a buy some stand that you have to lug around. The bipod will always be attached to each rifle.

          Right.
I am going to buy 10+ Harris bipods, at $100+ each, which are quick change for when I take that many rifles with me to the range.

Just learn to swap the bipod.

At my clubs range we back our trucks up to the bench. We put them on the rack or on the back of the truck or lean them againt the tries. The tires are lugged so it work fine.
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

Maybe I'm just being lazy I could just learn to be faster switching the sling stud mounted bipod.

I want the barrel to cool down so putting it back in the bag doesn't seem like the best solution. It's also nice to have the gun there as a spotting scope

I also considered another front bag but bulky to carry and not very secure.

                I did find this

I'm not sure about clamping it on to the barrel of my sub moa rig though.

I guess I just thought someone would have adressed this by now. A small folding vinyl covered wire stand that cradled the fore end was what I was looking for.
