Savage 110 BA 300WM owners - question

for those of you who own a Savage 110 BA chambered in 300WM, what hard case are you carrying this around in?

Looks like the 110 BA is 50.50" at its most "compressed". A Pelican 1750 has an inside dimension of 50.50", so the 110 technically fits, with zero room to spare. Not sure if there is a better (same price range-ish) alternative to the Pelican 1750.

Almost bought this before reading "empty" more closely and reading the review (other buyer didn't realize no foam either). OP doesn't seem to carry the foam and based on Pelican foam pricing, I'm guessing it's not going to be cheap. Would prefer to get a case that has the foam without spending $400 or having to multi-source it. Wonder if anyone has it with foam at a decent price.

Nice looking case/specs though.

No one seems to sell the foam, including SKB (the ONLY foam they sell is for camera or pistol sized cases). Bit of a bummer.

Where did your buddy get his foam?

I just sent him a message to find out! Pretty sure he used foam from an
IM3300 Storm case. Its 50.5''x14''x6'' which fills that space right up with only a little extra room that the rifle takes right up. Package puts you right around $300 and take another 5% off the top.

Kalispell went out of business but there are places selling exact clones with the foam for 50 bmg's which are 60 + inches long.Do a google search for Kalispell gun cases and you see what they look like.

I got a BassPro card for Christmas and have been looking at cases for my Savage 10, I found a few that will fit my 10 but for yours there is the Bone Collector that comes in at 54.6in and $99

From actually reading your link I found this:

Exterior dimensions: 53'' x 16'' x 6.1''.
Interior dimensions: 50.5'' x 13.5'' x 5.25''.

I've got a .110BA (it's .338 Lapua but I believe the dimensions are the same)in that case.

This upright case from Plano is used by a lot a competitors who use 30" barreled rifles.

Mine is 50.25" from crown to heel and it juuuust fits.
Will accept high-mounted scopes/tall turrets easily.
Great for everything but shipping.
