So I impulse purchased the above and while it was in jail had the shop smith smooth out the action and lighten the trigger a bit.
When I went to get it he was still ranting about how "unfinished" it really was. This was manufactured after the Remmington purchase and is being done with new tooling.
The difference in feel was remarkable and I was itching to shoot it.
Fast forward a couple of weeks. 30-30 is as hard to find on a shelf as .22
I missed that memo.
I reload so I'll be ok long run but I sure would like to just plink a tad.
It came with a hammer extension in case you put glass on it.
Now let me be clear, I need glass. Eyes getting old. My thoughts are that a lever gun is supposed to be fired at bad guys from a galloping horse. Glass? Really?
Am I missing something here?
