    Anyone using DNZ scope mounts?

I have one on my 10/22 and its great. Wondering if anyone is using it on a 308 rifle.

DNZ mounts are great. Overkill on a rimfire IMHO. They are on the upper end in money and weight too. Mostly people use them for higher recoiling rifles.

They are like $50 and weight next to nothing...

I've got one on my TC Encore and I'm very happy with it.

I collect Military Arms and enjoy shooting in local matches. I also collect older Lever Actions, especially those chambered in odd/old cartridges. If you have a nice old Winchester or Marlin in 25-20, 32-40, 38-55, 40-60, 45-70, etc etc, please PM me and we can work out a deal.

Nicely made but I hate the looks of them, rings are too thick and bulky. I don't use them.

Compared to the other options out there that can get the same job done, they are overweight. That can be a factor if you are building a lightweight hunting rifle. Every ounce adds up.

Pricepoint, on the other hand, is subjective. But IMHO, they are still overpriced.

DNZ for 10/22 is not heavy & makes a very durable set-up. A 10/22 needs a dovetail screwed into the receiver, & rings that mount to the dovetail. This makes for a 5 piece set-up. Most of them are absolute crap & come loose regularly. DNZ is a one piece base & 2 rings, very secure & mine looks nice. I like it, that's for sure. I outshoot all my friends with their bolt guns, with the exception of bench shooting.

I have one or two of them, got them on sale IIRC for an Encore. I think they need a facelift too. Very ungainly looking. Regarding price point, I think they're a bit over priced but that's just my layman's POV. When you figure conventional rings at about $25.00 and a base (one or two piece) at anywhere from $15.00 to $25.00 I suppose DNZ figures being close to that, and having the direct attach asset, makes them worth it?

I like the mount. Most set-ups have too many places for failure/slop for my liking I put them on my tika t3 lite in 270 win. My hunting rifles take a beating and I don't want my scope to move like I have had happen with weaver and leupold mounts (screws backed out probably caused by improper mounting). Tally lightweights were my other option but I couldn't find the one pice for my gun.

I have several in my safe and have probably bought 30 different models. I really like them because they are a one piece combo and the scope tube hole is bored/reamed out of a single block. Makes lapping rings not so critical. They are kinda bulky and pricey but they hold together very well and are machined very well. They make elevated models now as well. I have a couple 20MOA 30MM versions.

I have 3 DNZ. The latest set is for a howa 1500 in .308.
To bad the caps don't have the "DNZ" logo like on my savage sets.
Other then that all sets worked great. Fit is perfect.
