Howa actions were used in the Weatherby Vanguard series for a number of years. I don't know if they still do. I own an early a vanguard in .308. Back then Weatherby was using McMillan Fiberglas stocks. Mine shoots less than MOA for cold barrel 3 shot groups.

I was hitting swingers at 600yrds at Angeles, Monday. They are good to go. Mine is the standard barrel profile with a 3-9x Trijicon accupoint, sling and a bipod...no special stock.

        Howa- Hogue stock bolt actions

I've one in .233 with a Nikon m-223 BDC; despite the fast 1/12 twist, I can shoot 55gr and ring an 8" gong every attempt at 400 (the furthest I've been able to take it).

I shoot 4-6 times a year; have shot the Howa twice (read: it's damn accurate).

        The action is simply smooooooth.

        Love it!
