    Savage 11 Trophy Hunter - 5.56 Safe?

I'm considering a Savage Model 11 Trophy Hunter in .223. The barrel is stamped for .223, and I haven't been able to find anything online indicating whether this rifle is safe for 5.56 loads. Does anyone here know? Thanks!
    Regarding the 2nd Amendment:
"...to disarm the people ― that was the best and most effectual way to enslave them." George Mason ("The Father of the Bill of Rights")

    Regarding Life and Death:
"Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." Matthew 10:28

The BIG question: "What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ?" Matthew 27:22b

I shoot 5.56 in 5 223 marked rifles/pistol and have never had a problem. I have been doing so since 1970 before all this stuff became a problem.
I would shoot 5.56 in a Savage labeled 223 and not worry about it.
Others would say that if you do you will split the earth in half and the firearm will blow up in your hands/face. I have not seen or even heard(with validation) of it happening.

      You must decide for yourself.
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

          .223 in a 5.56 barrel = OK
          5.56 in a .223 barrel = safety hazard
