35 rem conversion to 35 whalen

I am considering coverting my pump Rem 760 35 rem too either 358 win or 35 whelen
    Anyone have this done?
is the action long enough for 35 whelen?
would the bolt face work? 35rem is .460 358win is .473
who would be good for this job?
    any input would be great

I don't have any answers for you, but I'm curious about why?

That would be more work than it's worth. Sell your rifle and buy another. It will be CHEAPER and EASIER.

Other than ammo being somewhat harder to come by, there is nothing wrong with the 35Remington inside 200yds.

        35rem too 35 whelen

        I guess cuss I don't have a 358 or a 35 whelen and am just curious
I shot a 1895 win in 35 win for years, until open sights just got to blury.
the 760 with a scope in 358 win would be a handy outfit .I know the 35 rem loaded up is a thupper... just considering a new toy

Although the 35 Whelen is one of the most versatile wildcats ever devised, and is easy to reload from 30-06 brass, I'm not sure that you would gain much in ballistic improvement for the effort, and cost. What is you motivation for doing the change over?

Well, if you decide to offload or convert your existing rifle PM me if you want to sell any .35 Remington brass or ammo you've got.
Buying a safe and sane firework is like paying a hooker for a hug. I do not see the appeal in it.

I am like the hipster, i have an itch to take a short action and build a 358 win., just because i want to. LOL E.R. Shaw has the barrels and technology for the right price, the .358 is an easy reload as it is just a necked up .308, i say go for it.
