    2x4 Stock and Hits a 1k

I thought this would be the perfect place for this.

Before you respond please do the following:
-Google Rifles Only, understand what that place is about.
-Google Jacob Bynum, understand what he has accomplished.
-Understand what a Teludyne barrel is and why this works.

A cheap barrel block would hold better than that duct tape...

Stocks are like boobs, something nice to hold but the real business is elsewhere.

They're not liberals, they're leftists. Please don't use the former for the latter. Liberals are Locke, Jefferson, Burke, Hayek. Leftists are progressives, Prussian state-socialists, fascists. Liberals stand against the state and unequivocally support liberty. Leftists support state tyranny.

Yea but that's also Jacob from the hide... Snipers Cup host and Snipers Only instructor and certified B/A.. Safe to assume thats probably a custom action and barrel too.

Im curious what the point of this was. Knowing Franky and the guys over there they don't do anything unless it teachers their class something about shooter and killing internet BS..

        Anyone know?

Duh! Maybe read the original thread lol

They put a large sleeve over the barrel.

When the sleeve is tightened up it puts the barrel under tension. It also means there is a node at the muzzle and the barrel flexes like a guitar string between the action and the muzzle.

On a normal barrel without a tensioning tube or tuner the node sits back from the muzzle about 2.75 inches.

When your doing load work up you want the barrels crown moving in an upward direction when the bullet exits the barrel. This allows the slower shots which stay in the barrel longer to be launched at a higher departure angle than the faster shots which exit sooner. This is how shots with velocity deviation can converge on the target making a very small group.

When you put a barrel under tension and move the node you are dampening the barrels frequency and widening the accuracy window.
I will try and post a picture of a tensioned barrel gun used in longrange benchrest.

You know the old saying "It's a poor craftsman who blames his work on his tools" well that works both ways. If you know what you are doing you can do it no matter what.
If you want change you have to put in your 2 cents, you can't just sit on the sidelines and whine.
