Should I Deer Hunt With This?

I can get a Ruger American in .270 win for $275 out the door right now. The only reason I'm hesitant is the finish I'd be getting it in is the Navy Digital Camo. In some pictures I've seen it looks really really blue and in others it looks more grey.

I was just wondering if anyone has seen this finish in person or if anyone has opinions on wether a gun with a finish like this would be suitable for deer hunting.

More than adequate for hunting. Just paint the stock.

Do you think painting the stock will be necessary for deer hunting? I really don't mind the look of it, I just wouldn't want it to negatively affect me when I'm out there.

Never hunted deer before so I'm not too sure about this.

Put a camo sock on it if you are concerned. I use them while upland hunting.

It is more blue than grey.

It won't matter to the deer, you're likely going to be wearing a bright orange hat or vest while you're shooting it. While deer aren't exactly color blind, they don't have great color vision. Buy it, scope it, put meat in your freezer.

I just bought a .270 Rem 700 with a shiny wood stock to use as a deer rifle.

You can only shoot Blue Digital Camo Deer species with that rifle. Get a tan or brown rifle if you want to hunt regular deer.
