I shot a GAP-10 this summer (in .260). I was extremely impressed with the quality and accuracy of the rifle for the price.

I would NOT take the Gap-10 hunting with me. I like to travel light when hunting.

It sounds like you want more of a precision rifle than a hunting rig.

Having both a GAP10 in 308win and a Newman Precision custom bolt rig in 308win, I can say there are merits to both systems.

If I am shooting inside 600 mainly and 800 max, my GAP10 is the way to roll. If I need to reach out to 1K on a regular basis, I am going with my Newman bolt rig.

I can push a 175gn SMK harder in my bolt gun than my gaser, and I think my bolt gun is a tad more accurate at longer distances.

There is no doubt that a bolt gun is easier to drive as well. I suck at driving a gaser because of all the moving parts, and multiple recoils.

I posted this on a few other threads but here is the accuracy I got from my GAP 10.
