    Rem 700 XHR MUZZLE break?

    Hay fellas, i tried searching and couldnt find any info on installing a muzzle break on a triangulated barrel. I have the rem 700 XHR with a triangulated barrel and id like to install a muzzle break. Thank you

    Is your barrel already threaded?

      Negative sir. No problem for the smith tho! As far as a break goes, My gunsmith hasnt seen my type of barrel before and said he could make one, but that i would be better off tryin to find a pre-made one instead of going full custom.

        Just have him fit a round brake that matches the round diameter of the barrel.
        Then, have him cut a 1/4" radius on the back of the brake where each flute ends into the brake.
