now, its gonna be what to buy. savage axis 308 or rem 700. lol

LOL. I love my 700, but I want something a little cheaper for my wife. She wants a mosin kinda, but I want something I can reload easy.

Great news! I have a pair Savage Axis in 223 and 308 just waiting for thumbhole stocks. I'll take one in Nutmeg and one in Sky.

Properly bedded in one of these, I believe the Axis will show its true accuracy potential, action is very ridgid and barrels are excellent.

The website says: Availability: IF TEMPORARILY OUT OF STOCK: ORDER NOW! PARTS WILL SHIP IN APPROX. 1-2 WEEKS FROM DATE OF ORDER.
Then they say 4 week lead time for Axis stocks. I'm interested in the thumbhole.
