Winchester 94 (1941) Disassembly

I have a 1941 win model 94 that I would like to strip down to give it a good cleaning but i can not find any instructions for such an old model and they are deffenitly not the same as the new ones. Any ideas where I can find out how to do this? Thanks

Go to RADOCY.com. They have takedown guides for most guns. $10 bill gets you a pdf file download. I used it for my Winchester 100, 1955. worked like a charm. plus there are usually you tube videos to go along with your search.

Be advised, the band screws don't like to go back in. They went in straight at the factory, but that was 72 years ago. Recoil moves things around, as well as wood swelling/contracting, etc.

Pick up a copy of Brownells - THE ENCYCLOPEDIA OF MODERN FIREARMS, it has this rifle, and plenty more. Heck, you might delay the cleaning just so you can read some more.

They are easy to disassemble and clean, and free instructions abound, you don't need to pay anyone. You need the right screwdrivers so you don't tear up the screws, and if you do, there are inexpensive replacements for all screws used in the 94. Here's a couple links to get you on your way.
