I bought an old model Ruger M77 RSI with the tang safety from a Calgunner recently. The carbine has an extremely heavy trigger pull. I noticed a tiny screw in the underside of the trigger viewed from the trigger guard. Is the factory trigger adjustable and if so, how? I love this little carbine but the 10lb trigger pull has got to go!

Take the action out of the stock and look to see what the screw does.
Could be overtravel or pull weight.
Not likely to be sear engagement.Randall Rausch

Might want to get a Timmney trigger. I think the screw is for engagement not pull weight.Comment

Check out this link. The underside trigger screw is pull weight adjustment, but there's more involved:I bought an old model Ruger M77 RSI with the tang safety from a Calgunner recently.
