Magazine fed? Sure, check out the Archangel stock for it.

Converting a Mosin to semiauto....I know a guy who did that. It was the same person who converted a Chevrolet half ton truck to a Boeing 747.

Just get an SVT-40. It'll be cheaper than trying to do a conversion.

As mentioned, the archangel stock will do the magazine conversion. $200

Why exactly do you want to make it semi-automatic? It's a bolt-rifle..leave it that way.

                It's already magazine fed

The russians experimented with semi-automatic mosins, there were several designs, and none had much success.

It is magazine fed.... "internal" magazine fed...
I think you mean detachable magazine. Like others said archangel stock.

Semiauto? Sure, you could with enough money, time and machining. But it would barely be a Mosin when you are done with it. More or less a Mosin barrel. As you would need a whole new bolt, receiver, gas system, fcg etc. If there was a way to do it I'm sure mother Russia would have. But they didn't. If you want a semi auto 7.62x54r look into the SVT-40, PSL, VEPR, etc.

Chew on this idea. Pretty cool.

Here is your detachable mag, comes with a stock.

Ah, but they did! In the C&R forum there's a recent thread called "semi-automatic steyr m95". I posted a pic of one of the experimental designs in there.

                        I meant production. Not experimental.
If a huge country didn't think it was worth throwing money at when they had millions of them then I doubt that it would be very cost effective for home build one off.

No, see post #5 as this is a far better option.
Next to me in the blackness lay my oiled blue steel beauty. The greatest Christmas gift I had ever received, or would ever receive. Gradually, I drifted off to sleep, pringing ducks on the wing and getting off spectacular hip shots.
