IMG_3087.jpg The safety sitting on the receiver is the stock unit, the replacement with the slot is installed. It sits about flush on both sides. You can still use it as a “safety” if you wanted, by turning it with a screwdriver. As installed, it won’t move on it’s own, or be engaged if you don’t want it to.
About the only time I might ever consider using it would be when going through an airport security (TSA) station, to keep some dildo agent from dry firing it, if they could even figure out how to do that. Doubtful they could though.
