Looking for Barrel Contour Dimensions (Pre-'64 M70 Bull Gun)

    Hey folks,

I'm trying to confirm barrel contour dimensions for a pre-'64 Winchester Model 70 bull gun (heavy bull barrel) chambered in .300 H&H Magnum. The numbers I've been able to dig up so far are:

    - 28" OAL
    - 1.25" at receiver for 2", then straight taper to 0.875" at the muzzle (some sources list the muzzle at 0.845", but I suspect this is for smaller caliber models)

Hoping some lucky Calgunner owns one of these fine rifles and can verify.

Per Roger Rule "The Rifleman's Rifle", there was only one configuration for all bull guns 1.25" at the receiver and tapering to 0.845" at the muzzle.

Appreciate the info. I ordered a custom barrel with those dimensions from PacNor back in October. Thanks again!
