    What are the odds?

    Hello All,

I have a classic Savage Model 112 Series "J" from the early 80's in .223 single shot. I would like to find a twin for it. I would honestly like to find the same rifle. Because this one has a nice heavy walnut stock on it with lots of grain and swirls. What are the odds I can find one for sale in the next few years?

On the other hand, could I buy a nice walnut stock for a new rifle of the same class? If I should choose to go that route. Stay safe folks. B.

Have a look at Boyd's Stocks. They have stocks in very kind of Wood and Laminate imaginable, and for every gun known to man.

You WOULDN'T HAVE TO GO TOO DEEP INTO THEIR INVENTORY!, to find something palatable for a Savage 112!
Boyds uses top-grade hardwood to craft durable, long-lasting shotgun & rifle stocks for top-selling firearm brands, including custom options. Get yours today!

If you go with a new inletted stock be careful that you get one for the J action. The screw spacing is different than the later actions.

You can get any kind of stock you want. It's just a matter of how much you want to spend.

Thanks Randy, I forgot about Boyds. I will keep in mind the screw spacing. I really LOVE my 112 Series "J", but it belongs back with it's family after the parents passed away. I can't say who because it is most likely someone here will know the family. And I don't want things to get mucked up if you know I mean.

I'm going to Geneco Gun works to see if he can build me a rifle equal to my 112. I have also contacted Savage to see what current model would be a great replacement. Thanks, B.
