.243 Win. with 100 grs. soft points right in the neck would do it, if you want to be rest assured in the kill .308 Win. with 150 grs. soft points; sub in solids if you have to but that angle allows a neck shot and why waste the meat if you don’t have to.

I bought a crossbow and broke out the old .54 caliber muzzle loader to take advantage of the extended seasons for some of the big boys that we grow around here.

0.50 caliber. Get the Hawken out; Maxi-Ball with some FF.

Otherwise 0.30 caliber, 300 Savage cartridge.

But that close, 0.357 caliber, 357 mag cartridge out of a little Marlin 1894CB

Something other than a cell phone held in portrait. Landscape would have given you a much better shot, if nothing else.

Old bread out of the second drawer in the kitchen then a recurve.
Buying a safe and sane firework is like paying a hooker for a hug. I do not see the appeal in it.

                      A .410", 210-grain semijacketed softpoint @ 1500 fps from a 20" Marlin 1894FG.

Your photograph looks like it was taken through a telephoto lens. What was the actual distance? 40 yards?
