Rem 700 ADL 30-06 Leupold mount

I have a Remington 700 30-06 ADL that I purchased in 1996. I installed a Leupold one piece scope mount and verified it was manufactured for a long action rifle. Is it normal for the back end of the mount to slightly hang over the ejection port? You can see the two screws for adjusting windage are hanging over the back end of the ejection port about half a inch. This seems to be the correct model mount for this type of rifle. Thank you for any help.

Yep, normal. Same thing on my Winchester 70 with a Leupold STD mount.

Yes , it’s normal but double check that the shells eject ok. Good luck.

Same as on my Mod 70 also. You should be fine.

It's an odd visual I agree, but I have a Rem 700 with those mounts and GTG.
