1982 and 80% - I'd say $500. I just picked up a 1965 and a 1967 in near perfect condition over the last year and paid $600 and $700 respectively.

It was your uncle's, it's a cool gun. Keep it... IMO.

Post 64 guns aren't worth a whole lot. At least relative to pre 64's. 500 to $600 is about right, unless you find somebody that really really wants one

While the .30WCF/.30-30 chambering in the Win '94 has put quite a bit of meat on the rural family table over the last 125 years, it is the revolver-caliber Winchester 1892 (and the Marlin 1894) that go for considerably more money.

That said, at the height of the Dempanic two years ago, your carbine there might've fetched double what it's market value is today.

Yours however remains a perfectly good gun. A classic! in fact.

In that case $500 is the upper end of that for me and I think really fair.

Pre covid price hikes I would say $350-400. Today $450-500 would be fair.

Very fair. Tough to get a box of 30-30 for less than $30 right now.

Lever guns are the hottness right now. Even the used ones. The new Marlin 3030 is 1500 after dros? Depends on the buyers budget. Yours is a winner for both the new guy and the deep pockets guy.

Right now, $1500 OTD is a decent price for one. I haven't seen one sale for less then that on GB.

Bob showed me how to look up sold guns on GB but my ADD just won't let me remember

The price of a used one in 90+% condition is the same price or more.

You are so right. Not just California but the whole country.

$600 is a good price when you throw in the ammo. You should have no problem selling it. Good luck OP

It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

                    That is a fair deal..
30-30 is currently going for a bit over $1/round, so figure the ammo alone is worth $120. The rifle itself is worth about $500, so I think $600 would be a good place to be.

In your original post, you stated that the rifle was a 1980's manufacture. That's good. The post 64 carbines used stamped steel parts instead of forged in order to reduce production cost. The ones made from '65 to the mid 70's or so were functional, good tools, but they were rattle traps in comparison to their predecessors. By the late 70''s early 80's, Winchester had improved the fit and finish quality of the '94, and the so from the 80's on they were pretty solid guns. Not collectable, but solid.

I gave one that was made in the late 70's to my grandson. It had a Lyman peep sight and was a great rifle. It was post-64 but always seemed nice and tight as well as smooth. I think the $600 to $650 range is about right, but you may get $700 with the ammo for the right buyer if you are patient.

I'll stick with my original thought - $600 is a decent deal for the package

My '94 pre-'68 saddle ring carbine never made it back from a one-way trip to the Idaho Panhandle. The first time my son moved up ther I took it (deer gun) a 10/22, and a Mossberg 500 so he'd have all the huntin bases covered. When he showed back up in Ripon, I asked him where the guns were. He said they got turned into gas money PAX
