    New Henry levers

They are back it it, again. They released new side gate brass Big Boys, even one in 45-70. Also a new 360 buckhammer steel. Prices are up, thanks Joe.

Also, check out the new wheel gun in 357 mag.

Does anyone own a Henry homesteader 9mm carbine???

I'm on the fence about it and any feedback would be appreciated.

I'd like to hold one of these, get a closer look.

I don't like the ejector rod

I hadn't seen the news or photos of those Henry revolvers so I took a peek and the link is below if you folks want to see them.

I don't know if I call them the ugliest revolver but I think it helps if you like the polished brass look a lot. Kind of reminds me of what would happen if a old charter arms revolver got together with an old high standard revolver at a steampunk convention.

I mean they were starting with a blank slate and could have gone anywhere and that's what they came up with? But to each his own I honestly hope some people like the look and they sell a lot and they make money so it gives us another made in America handgun manufacturer into the future of this country.

My last thought is that if they could sell them at $300 or below they would have a lot more buyers. But of course it's made in America so don't expect that kind of low price to ever happen.

As the perfect companion to ride alongside our world-famous Big Boy rifle or as the star of its own show, the Big Boy Revolver is a classically styled six-shooter fully capable of bringing the Henry name into the wild world of wheel guns with the same attention to detail and American craftsmanship you know and love. Available with square Gunfighter-style grips for maximum control or rounded, compact Birdshead-style grips for better concealment, this traditional double-action handgun would look right at home on the shelf of a Wild West general store. Borrowing design cues from its long gun brethren, the Big Boy Revolver touts highly polished blued steel throughout the medium-sized frame, quick-release cylinder, and 4” barrel. In addition, genuine American walnut grip panels are affixed to both sides of a mirror-like brass trigger guard that’s visible around the grip to the top of the backstrap. At about 34 ounces, these revolvers carry easily yet shoot softly with a smooth pull…

The side-gate Henrys are nice. You can reload the rifle either way, either Henry-style or Winchester-style.

How many manufacturers make a revolver and lever gun?

I think Henry might be on to something.....

Hopefully they figure out how to make good looking revolvers.

They even make semi rifles now, looks ok, but needs to see how they perform and hold up.

I send them an email every year asking for a .357 pump action. Something as close to the Colt Lighting as possible...

Who wouldn't like it? Around $1k of course.

Too bad Remington never offered an ultra short action pump like the 76x/76xx series... That rifle with a box mag would be nice. Not a Colt Lightening, but...

They did make the 7615 for a while. Uses AR mags IIRC. Orignally sold as a patrol carbine.
There are some people that it's just not worth engaging.

In 2003, the Big Boy was born after receiving enormous demand to make a pistol-calibered version of the flagship Henry Golden Boy .22. Twenty years later, the Big Boy and Henry?s other brass-framed centerfire lever action rifles are getting an overhaul to include one of the most requested features, a side loading gate, useful for keeping the magazine topped off while on a hunt or at the range. These rifles retain their original removable inner magazine tube as a quicker, safer way to unload the firearm. With the predecessors getting phased out as inventory depletes, the sweeping change affects 21 individual models, including some engraved editions and larger calibers like .30-30 and .45-70, all of which feature a polished hardened brass receiver, buttplate, and barrel band, genuine American walnut stocks, and the iconic blued steel octagon barrel.

I am not a fan of the revolvers. I really don't care for the cut of the barrel to accommodate the ejector rod. Probably me being silly, but it looks just like a point of failure. It also disrupts the lines of the gun.

Yeah, but if they came out with a Remington 1858 cartridge clone, or an 1873 Colt SAA clone, or a S&W Schofield top-break clone, they'd sell like hotcakes. Especially for giving us a US made option over the Italian guns. All of them would be period correct to match their lever guns.
