    Henry Big Boy X .357

Just scored a Henry Big Boy X in .357 magnum, thinking about getting a micro red dot for it. Looking for advice on what's a good model and brand to put on it. One that will handle the recoil on the 357 magnum load.

Bushnell makes a good budget red dot. Also check out the Vortex options. Keep an eye on Midway as they routinely put red dots on clearance.

More expensive options are out there too. I have an UltraDot I really like, and there's Trijicon, Leopold, etc.

      Here you go:

Looks like the Vortex Spark is on sale for $110 right now. They have a bunch of reflex sights too if that's what you meant by micro.

        Nice, love mine.

Put the Henry EGW red dot mount and a Holosun 507. Like the dot and circle on it. Any red dot that works on a pistol slide will be fine on a 357 rifle, likely less shock on the rifle than a slide.

I went with a wood stock too in the end.

I had the Bushnell break in me twice and they won't warranty them. Get a leupold rds or vortex

Virtually no recoil on a .357 lever rifle, so, probably any red dot would do.

Sir Toast, what is that!? Scared me.

My Big Boy .357 is pre side gate, but still fun with a Vortex Viper on the EGW mount.
