Technical Krag question...Is rear site mount screws same thread for all years?

I have an 1898 Krag and got a rear site rail so I can put my pistol scope long eye relief. The rear site screw I have is for the rear of the mount so it's really short. I need to get a longer screw and found S&S sells them but I see it says 1896. I'm pretty sure they all have the same thread pattern for all the barrels but maybe some of you have Krags of different years and know for sure before I spend the big bucks =). Thanks

I've got both a 1896 Krag and an 1898. Both have the same threads.

Awesome thank you. The owner of Granpasgunparts didn't know for sure. So far I think the Krag is as accurate as my 1903 but the rear rail was getting loose then realized my screw was only 1mm into the barrel.
