I hope Ruger produces it in stainless, matte finish, and with a better rear sight.
Glad to see the sling studs.

        I agree!

But we all like to comment on things so I will say that I like everything about the rifle except the stock. I prefer the straight stocks on my lever guns.

The Marlin Guide model was a straight stock/loop but it's nice to see Ruger bring back some good stuff.

It's good to see that they are taking their time and making good guns.

The one I posted yesterday is already up to $1400.

Not a fan of the laminate wood but this one isnt too bad..

It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

I'm guessing smart move on Ruger's part to keep the Marlin name visible.
Even tho it is a Ruger.

Wouldn't that be the 1895 SBL?

                Same 19" barrel length...

I wonder if they aren’t going to make the guide gun anymore and replacing it with the GBL.

I have a Marlin GBL. Bought it during the pandemic. Glad to see I ONLY paid $700ish for it lol.

Saw a 20" (19?) in stainless at the local gun show Saturday, big loop 45-70 right?

This guy wanted $5,000 for his, said it was 1 in 75.

The metalwork was excellent, very slick action... About 8/10 fit/finish wood to metal I thought. Don't get me wrong and perhaps I am being too picky, it was a step better than the Remlins for sure but not perfect.

I love it! It would be a new caliber for me to reload, but I’m tempted . . .
