The hard thing would be finding a factory/not customized rifle to compete with.

I was about to ask the same thing. I consider Vudoo rifles custom because you choose exactly which options you want and they build to order. There is no "standard" V22 rifle sold as-is in a stock configuration, which is what I think most people mean by "factory".

On the other hand, an Anschutz 2013 does meet anyone's definition of "factory" but probably isn't what people think of when it comes to a bone-stock .22LR.

Ultimately I think this sounds like a low-key, just for fun match. If you have an exotic rifle and want to play just go in and say you don't want your score to count in the standings.

This match is for many shooters to pull out there factory rifles or not and have a fun match . any thing from a martini to a 10/22 to a 40x

bring your vudoos we will allow them as long as no tuner. I have a single shot vudoo that I shoot ir 50/50 with but wont be shooting it here as it is a full benchrest build .i Will be shooting my 1980,s finnish valmet of dipod

Seriously though, it sounds like a fun low-key event. I would be tempted but I'm driving back from Vegas on 7/09.

Here are some details on the Rimfire & airgun match:

Factory .22LR & Airguns only unsanctioned match on every 2nd Saturday of the month... next one is this Saturday July 9th @ 8 AM (range opens at 7) will be shot on bipod or sandbags only, no benchrests, no tuner, no custom guns... factory guns only please. Pls come at 7 Am to draw your bench, register & set up so we can start on time.

Match is held at the Multi-Purpose Range (MPR) on the United Sportsmen campus in Concord CA. Address is 4700 Evora Rd, Concord CA

Airguns are welcome and will compete against each other. Airguns can shoot any caliber (slugs or pellets) up to .22.

Cost for the main (3 cards) 50 yard match will be $8 for Diablo members or $13 for non-members + an additional $1 for the optional 100-yard (2 cards) match following the 50 yard match.

We shoot 3 cards at 50 Yards for the main match with another optional 2 cards at 100 yards for those who want to shoot 100.

Yes it is a covered range... .protected from the sun and rain... unfortunately NOT from the wind...

Yes you need a scope ... a pretty powerful one... our 10 ring is +- 3/8" diameter and set at 50 yards... no iron sights or 12X scope can shoot this size target very well...

Mostly CZs, Tikkas T1x and savage shooting here... also older guns like Kimber, Remington 40X, Winchester 52s, Feinwerkbau, Anschutz or a Valmet which kicks everybody's A $ $.. Vudoo is technically a custom gun and not a production factory rifle but bring it and test your skills against some of the CZs & other factory guns... some pretty good factory guns shoot this match ..

... it was a match with mixed factory and benchrest guns.. . (this weekend's match is unregistered and only for airguns or factory .22LR) .. It give a sense of what the benches, range and match is like... We hold rimfire matches here every two weeks.. Second and fourth Saturday of every month... with the second Saturday being an unregistered match & the fourth being a registered IR 5050 match ... Hope this helps ..
