    25 yrd. Zero?

With an 03A3 and Remington UMC 150 gr., where should the point of impact be for a 100 and 200 yrd. zero at 25 yards?

The only way to figure it out is to shoot it those distances. There are too many variables.

Zero it at 25 yards, and it should be just a few inches off at 100. Make your final adjustments

If your dead on at 25 yards you will be 2.8 inches high at 100 yards 2 inches high at 200 yards and 5.2 inches low at 300 yards.
This assumes a 24 inch barrel

Free version should answer that one also....

Zero it at the distance you're going to be shooting at. Ar 15 sighting (i.e. 25/300, etc., etc.) doesn't work the same for an 03-A3.

Yeah, that makes sense to get on paper with a rough 25yd zero. Everyone wad thinking you wanted some BZO nonsense.

Bore sight it. It's simple to do; all you need is a steady rest and a target. I do this in the back yard at 25 yards and am always well dialed on the first shots.

The videos show scopes, but the same principle applies to irons.

I've got a beautiful 1943 Remington 03A3 that's begging to no longer be a safe queen. Can someone give me the "idiots guide" to sighting her in? A small problem, the only range within reasonable distance is 25yds.

He is. That's why he's getting on paper at 25, so he can finish zeroing at 100. That gets him a rough 100 yard zero, which is what he's after. FWIW, I've zeroed both AR-15's and 1903a3's this way, and the method does indeed work the same for both. Maye a 1/2 - 1" difference at 100 yards, but it still gets you there very quickly.
