    24.5k Henry

I didn't see any post on this one so I thought that I would share what a 24.5k Henry looks like

It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

Here's the rifle they auctioned last year for the Cody Firearms Museum, a Winchester 1895:

What do you think that gun cost new ? I'm gonna guess and say $27.93

I guess those just don’t do it for me. I much prefer utility over bling or even over a pretty much useless antique.

My interests lie in Winchester lever guns, especially the 1892 model. I love those, and an content to spend my money on decent examples that can be enjoyed as intended.

I can't afford that Henry, though I'd love to have it. But it IS perfectly shootable. 44 rimfire can be made at home with simple tools.

                        😁

Old rimfire stuff can be made by drilling a hole in the edge the rim and inserting a cut down 22 casing. 22 on the rim becomes the primer for the powder. The old 44 Henry I believe can be made out of 44 special casings.

I've got a Spencer sporting rifle I eventually plan to do just that with, so I can keep it alive!

I've got one of these too, same plan.

Price is not relevant to anything.

Bidders aren't buying the gun they are supporting the museum.
