How many of you guys are running .45 cal muzzle loaders using Smokeless powder?

I have one. But curious to see what others are running .

Which bullet, with or without a wad, which powder, primers, etc.

My wife thinks I only have 3 guns

IIRC the only major manufacturer that built a Muzzleloader for smokeless powder was the Savage 10ML and they had many issues with owners blowing them up with over loads.

There are a few boutique manufacturers that make them but a regular production muzzle loader should never be used with smokeless powder.

I have smokelss powder that can be used in low pressure loads. I have a few cans. For my hunting loads I use triple 7 pellets with sabots.I have to look at my data. for smokelesss.

Do you consider pyrodex to be smokeless?

No, looking at actual Smokeless, like 4189 or even 3031

Yes, it is corrosive.

Been shooting black powder muzzle loaders for over 50 years. Have seen many videos of folks blowing up muzzle loaders using "smokeless powder".
The general consensus among every group I've shot with is: "Don't."
