    Bolt Gun Rifle Builders

Im looking for someone to assemble a bolt rifle for me.
I have a Stiller Tac 30 with a jewel trigger and a Rock Creek 6.5 cut rifle barrel I want assembled into a XLR folding rifle chassis.

I bought all of this years ago and the players have moved.
I like to deal local so I can look the man who did the work in the eye,

Is there anyone in the bay area assembling bolt guns we can trust?

It used to be, I could send my stuff to GA Precision. I'm not sure I can any more as they are focused on their own stuff.
Stiller was sold and I'm not sure of my best options. what do you think?

I assembled my own...do you not have the tools to do it?

Barrel Vice, action wrench and torque wrench

Should be only 2 action screws for XLR Chassis.

I think LynnJr had BillyGoat Machine build some of his rifles?

Billygoat is in CA up north somewhere...perhaps you can send to him?

LRI has a great reputation in the PRS sports with decent prices and more importantly, very fast turnaround. They're a big shop with lots of cnc and automation.

If you don't mind driving 6 hours south for an afternoon, you can look me in the eye and watch the gun get built.
It's around 4 hours to fit a barrel to an action and a brake to the muzzle.
All work is done while you wait so it's in and out the same day.

Chad at LRI is the real deal. He's a great guy and runs a very good shop.

He probably does not have a barrel that's threaded and chambered.
No matter how hard you turn and push on that barrel, it's not going to screw into the action without some machining.
It would also be very helpful to cut a chamber in the breech end of the barrel so cartridges can fit.

AR 15 and Kendog plus Anthony Petiti and you have billygoat machine in redway which is 3 miles west of garberville if you like scenic drives.
Jim Ketchum is in petaluma and works by appointment only if he hasnt moved to wyoming yet.

Sorry; I hear "Bay Area" and always think close to me. I keep forgetting that the "Bay Area" is now considered Santa Rosa to Santa Cruz, and east to nearly Sacramento. It used to be a lot smaller.

I go by the 9 bay area counties as we are now all lumped together to pay more taxes and more regulations.

Can a shooter schedule multiple barrels at the same time to cut down on the fuel cost?

Send it to Dane at DMR Rifles. Easy to do and he's stellar. He's been helping a lot of the PRS guys and makes a lot of his own stuff. All my rifles he's touched are talk drivers.

He's in Vegas, just ship it to him

My wife thinks I only have 3 guns

Worth twice what you'll pay, doesn't get any better than that.

6 hours is about the same as going to a Costco, will cost less and you won't need to pack just to feel safe.
