    300WM R700 detachable mag conversion?

Do they make them? Which manufacturer have you had a good experience with? Any issue putting them in R700 XCR 2’s?

Check out legacy sports or stocky stocks and ptg, magpul, badger ordnance. Years ago I had a legacy sports drop in on a rem 700 in 308 with factory stock it functioned ok just real cheaply made. Your probably going to have to do some kind of inletting to make an m5 style bottom metal fit in you factory stock

I used PTG for my 300 win. You will need to have it inletted.
      There are different mag lengths.

For my friends 300 win long range. I got lucky. Used a Magpul kit.
I only had to dremel the area on each end where the DBM drops in. Very little.
It feeds fine. He uses factory length ammo.
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.
I really miss the good old Pomona Gun Shows.

The only one I’d avoid is HS Precision; although mine is of the older style, I could never get the ten-round magazines to work correctly, even after the bottom metal, and several of the mags were returned to them TWICE. The issue was that upon firing, the mags would drop free from the rifle. It works 100% with the four-round examples, but for what it would co$t today, I’d go with another brand. Their stocks, BTW, have proven to be very good.

I have a KRG Bravo on my Rem. 700SPS in .300 WinMag. Takes ACSS mags. No complaints from me.

You will need to have your stock inletted for the m5 pattern.
I do this work but you might want to upgrade the stock at the same time since the XCR comes with a plastic stock.

CDI precision used to make them. However they seem to have folded.

I'm looking at upgrading a Remington 700 to a magazine feed.

I've found several vendors of M5 Box Magazine Bottom Metals. I've only spoken with them on the phone. I haven't had my hands on any of their products yet. All will require inletting of your stock to the M5 pattern.

Badger Ordnance is probably the best established maker, but they square off the rear of their trigger guard in a way that I don't like, and the mag release lever is too narrow and long for me.

Hawkins Precision makes one with a "T" style lever release.

Heritage Arms also makes one with a "T" style lever release. I spent quite a bit of time on the phone with them last week and the owner seemed quite good. They also offer an inletting service along with their bottom metals.

All of the above will work with AICS form magazines.

H+S Precision offers a "Drop In" magazine conversion, but it appears to require only their magazines. I took an early pass and am looking at the above vendors.

Randall - Do you have any experience with these bottom metals?

If you build a man a fire, you'll keep him warm for the evening. If you set a man on fire, you'll keep him warm for the rest of his life.

I have inletted for and installed hundreds of M5 pattern DBM systems.
PTG also offers a T latch if you don't like the traditional AI long latch.

My favorite DBM is no longer made by Randy @ R&D but it looks like battlearms bought the design as they still have it listed on their website:
