I built a 350 Legend AR because that ammo was cheap, 50 cent.

It would benefit in a limited length action like the AR. But in a bolt action you have lots more options. Like a 358 Win, based on a 308.

Ammo selection and availability is the only issue with .350 Legend - of course not any reason for it in CA other than a cool choice. My only complaint about the Axis is the magazines: I have a .223 and I just wish it wasn’t a proprietary part.

I wouldn't get it in a bolt gun... no reason when there are better options. In an AR platform it's ok I guess.

          But it's a Savage....

A 350 Legend Henry Big Boy would be pretty cool. Cheaper to shoot than expensive 45-70.

It's ballistically a .30-30 in a straight walled case from what I have read, made for those states that mandate a straight walled load for hunting.
