I'm looking to purchase some Talley 30mm scope rings for a pre-64 model 70 (1946). Does the pre-64 take different scope rings or are they the regular model 70 rings?

I used these one piece base and ring set on my 1950s Pre64 M70 30-06. Worked great. Not sure if you 1946 year has different rear spacing?

Thanks everyone. I was pleasantly surprised that the old Weaver bases worked perfectly with some Vortex Pro Rings that I already had. The old rifle certainly looks great wearing a VX5. The rifle shot the first two rounds really well (almost the same hole) but the third was a bit of a flyer (1 inch).Comment
