    Savage 110 AccuStock

Shopping for a 308 bolt gun and wanted to hear from collective CG brain trust.

Is the AccuStock system indeed superior or just advertisement gimmick?

It’s a decent factory stock. It’s not a McMillan. If you have a low budget it’s worth going accustock vs not.

The standard synthetic riflestock is a wiffle bat that bends about as much under stress. The AccuStock is certainly an improvement.

Of course, within sane hunting ranges, the deer or feral/wild hog that you and your Savage rifle just made into dinner is not going to care if you have an AccuStock or not. :-)

Kinda typical cheap injection-molded stock. Has adjustability and a nice barrel though. Just curious, why .308?

          I got a Savage 10PC ( .308 ). Features Accutrigger, Accustock, detachable magazine and a 20" bull barrel. I like it.

Injection molded with an aluminum backbone.

Interesting, the aluminum blocks certainly add strength. I'm sure it's a nice rifle with the Proof barrel. Personally, I would choose a different cartridge if you want to hunt in CA though.

Not blocks, a single rigid rail from action to forend.

Why? .308 Winchester is an outstanding hunting cartridge, very accurate and versatile.

What's the purpose of the rifle? Hunting? Target? If hunting, what type of game? Are you reloading or shooting factory ammo?

I have a Savage Custom Shop 6.5 Creedmoor with an AccuStock. After load development, it is shooting 140gr Accubonds to 0.60" groups reliably. Good enough to kill Nebraska whitetails....

DT SRS and done. Buy once, cry once. Swappable for multiple calibers on one chassis. More accurate than most shooters.
