    Any Marlin Levermatic owners?

I saw a 99% .22 mag and am tempted. Any problems with the guns long term? Seem rare and no parts support is why I ask.

I'd pass unless it was at a very, very low price.

.22 mag is a PITA to find ammo for and it's never inexpensive.

I had to look that one up. Those are NICE looking rifles! Maybe call a couple of 'smiths in your area and see if they can work on them if needed. I'd be tempted also.

Looks like a good deal if GB prices are an indication. I’m gonna pass.
$399 at Turner’s LF so go get it!

The .22 Magnum is not extinct and some people have loads of .22 Magnum ammo in their stock pile for deals like this (I do).

Yes! A friend has many thousands bought at auction.

I used to have a Model 56 in .22 LR, but I sold it to another CalGunner several years ago as a project gun. I don't know if it's a common problem with them, but my gun had a lot of misfires. I had a gunsmith look at it, and he tried to fix it, but it never ran reliably, lots of weak strikes/shallow primer indents. I could only get it to shoot reliably with Federal Auto Match ammo (lead round nose), which is easy enough to get, but I only wanted the gun to shoot rabbits and squirrels. The ban on hunting with lead ammo made the gun useless to me.

I have a Sears 46L (Marlin 56 magazine fed) Levermatic. One of my favorites.

Short throw, accurate, pretty grained stock - what's not to like?

I went with the 22 LR for readily available ammo at a decent price.

Mine seems to do well with ammo in the 1235 FPS range. Doesn't like standard FPS ammo so I don't try and feed it cheap stuff.

Not sure about having one in .22 Mag but I would like one in 30 carbine

The rimfires initially used a steel receiver and later switched over to aluminum. IIRC the WMR versions suffered some cracking when the steel bolt was vigorously cycled. I keep "almost buying" a WMR version but have found them priced a bit too high.

I have the Marlin Model 62 in 30 Carbine and it's lots of fun. Shooting the 30 Carbine round without chasing down brass for reloading, for a change. Have a period correct Weaver 1 to 4X scope in their "pivot mount" base. Not the most accurate set up but definitely tin can capable to around 100 yds or so.

I would love one in .22 Mag or .30 Carbine. I have thousands of rounds for each of those, and loads of components for .30 Carbine.

I have the 22lr and 22mag version. They are very accurate guns. My 22mag rifle will shoot 1 1/2 moa at 100 yds.

I just don't want to drive all the way from Apple Valley to Lake Forest to find out it is sold.
