So last post about i bought a savage 110 scout with a missing rail. Savage customer service did a very great job and above exellence. They willing send me a new rail without any question and i do not need to pay for it. They sent it right away and i received it in 4 days later...

Yes. The iron sight still can mount it but after you put the scope on, i cannot see through the iron sight anymore.
Im still looking for a very good long eye relief scope for it...

Right now only Burris has long eye relief scopes. Leupold discontinued theirs. they only have 1 intermediate offering left in the freedom line. Which might work for you.

a light weight, simple LPVO is also an option. And if Burris discontinues their line of long eye relief scopes, might be our only option for a "scouty" scope.

If you do explore that option, watch the weight as some can be very heavy for what your getting. Don't need more than 6x (in my opinion), and you want something you can mount with medium or ideally low rings. if you have to use high rings, it's the wrong scope.

Great rifle for a scout gun, she’s a looker for sure and Savages are great shooters.

I much prefer a low profile scope on one though, yes you lose the ability to use your iron sights but I’ll take the trade off to have a nice tight and low scope. The one thing you can use to maintain quick access to your irons are quick detach low mount scope rings, that’s the option I would choose.

As far as long relief scout optics, the three most popular seem to be Leopold, Burris and Vortex. All are 2x7 power and will sit low on the gun, I believe the Leo and Burris are in the $300 range and the Vortex is the bargain one at around $150.

In a word, Ebay. I was able to find a Leupold scout scope with a #4 reticle.

Look up the book “Scout Rifle Study”, written by Richard Mann. Anyone who is seriously interested in the concept will find it informative. There is valuable discussion of “scout-type” optics.
