I had not seen Brent/DueceMcGurk post in over a month... of course the Holidays are a busy time, then there's the Coronavirus to deal with...
I was concerned so I called his cellphone number just now and his wife answered the phone.
Brent passed away December 13th of a heart attack, but quietly and without pain. He seemed to have simply fallen asleep as he and his wife were watching a movie.
His son is handling his firearms collection. His reloading supplies have all gone to a man who recently started the handloading hobby, and he and Brent had known each other since childhood. Good to see his firearms and reloading properly cared for.
His wife (Linda?) seems a wonderful woman and who is still, naturally, grieving yet took the time to talk and tell me what happened.
Brent's neighbor, Brooks, is there, too. Brooks and his wife have been a huge help to Linda. I met Brooks with Brent when we'd shoot some Wednesday mornings up at Burro.
All is as well as it can be. I'll light a vintage lantern today in honor of Duece (his spelling). Brent was as nice a guy as you'd want to meet. Knowledgeable, a good shooter and an enthusiast. We are diminished.
R.I.P. Brent
