I also asked Savage if there was any compatibility with standard 110 series stocks but they said no. I do hope that it sells decent enough to warrant additional versions; I’m hoping for some iron sights and wood. Some type of scout setup would be cool too.

Might be a basis for a dandy Scout Rifle, if it can be within the proper parameters. Iron sights are a must, so there is that aspect. A good synthetic stock could help it make weight.
I may have to get one if for no other reason than the novelty value. If it fails in the marketplace, we can add it to our reference collection of other marketing failures.

***Edit: After looking over the big game version, shortening the barrel by 6” might bring the weight down, but it’s still heavy.

MSRP is a little less than $1450 or so. At that price I don't see that rifle doing anything I can't do with my 7mm-08. The 300 WM or 300 WSM is more interesting since I don't have anything in that class, but I'd rather a .338 WM which they aren't offering.

11+ Lbs dressed but that weight has a purpose, it reduces the recoil velocity of the rifle.

I don't have to belittle anyone who prefers a lighter rifle.

Yes, swapping the bolt handle to either side is fast and accomplished without tools. It comes in what appears to be a nice stock, with a medium weight barrel (according to Savage, I don't know what they consider medium weight), threaded, with a thread protector, and finished in cerakote. The built in picatinny rail has a 20MOA elevation. Bolt face and barrels are user serviceable and if you order a bolt face and barrel from Savage, they come headspaced and ready to install by the end user making chambering swaps seemingly easy.
