I'm a big fan of yesterday's news optics at Black Friday prices. Here's a start:
The H59 and Tremor reticles are a bit too much at 30x, so I recommend the G3.
This will help max out the available elevation:
The ergos should work better with a chassis gun than trying to lay the objective lens down on the barrel. Burris makes similar rings that'll give you more flexibility in the mounting.
I like this bubble, mounted ahead of the turrets:
Do the final adjustment of the bubble at the range using a plumb bob. When you set it up the first time with a level on the turret, adjust the bubble as viewed in your shooting position and not looking down on it from the top.
Start with 215 Berger hybrids as your baseline bullet. Test other bullets against that one, but at distance rather than 100 yards.
H1000 with a large rifle primer instead of a large rifle magnum primer will give low velocity spreads. If you go with a 208 grain bullet or lighter, and I recommend you don't, either version of H4831 will give lower velocity spreads than the H1000. If you decide to use double based powders, switch back to the magnum primer. R26 and N570 impress the chrono, but add a lot of temperature sensitivity you just don't need in a long range gun.
Norma brass works great. It has the most capacity and will take just about as much pressure as a jacketed bullet will and still give good ELR performance. Peterson just did a run of 300wm brass. It'll take more pressure, but the case capacity is way down compared to the Norma. You should be able to make either work well. If you buy a big enough pile of Winchester brass, at least 200, you should be able to sort and cull 150 decent ones in batches of 50 if you also neck turn. Without the neck turning, it's pretty hopeless.Comment

Vortex Gen2 Razor 3-18x40mm. You can find it around $1600-1700.
Or the 4.5-27x55mm around $2000
Bubble leveler, go with Flatline Op. They have a few diff models.

Good call, this never occurred to me. So just secure a line and plumb bob to the range hanger, send it out to 50yds or so and let it settle?Comment

I bought the 300PRC version. Picked it up two weeks ago.SAVAGE ARMS 110 ELITE PRECISION .300 WIN MAG BOLT ACTION CENTERFIRE RIFLE, CERAKOTE GRAY.
It's front heavy. I ordered the weight and bag rider for the stock.
Looking at.scopes also. Been eyeing the Accu tac f class bipod.
Mine did not come with a muzzle brake. But the pic shows one. Gotta pickup.a.muzzle brake also.Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.
I really miss the good old Pomona Gun Shows.

Several of the yesterday's news scopes will only focus down to 75 yards. Anything a little beyond the minimum focus distance for the scope will work.
I do it when I zero the gun for the first time, which is at 100 yards. I just staple the string to the target. Setting the reticle next to the string and aligning on the gap works better than trying to overlay the string.
It seems like a little thing, but it works out to be about 1-2 clicks of windage bias by the time you've dialed 20 mils.Comment

That Accu Tac looks solid as a tank. Where did you buy the rifle?I bought the 300PRC version. Picked it up two weeks ago.

Bought it on Gunbroker. Finally had a bad experience vendor. Took them 4 weeks to ship. Said is was because of their warehouse. The warehouse had to ship to the store.
I think the vendor doesn't own the warehouse.
Beautiful rifle. Might buy the 223 version. Already have 3 6.5 creedmoor rifles.Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.
