Cross Mono Pod
I picked up one of these and tried it out this morning:
It was stable shooting off a bench, unlike a rear bag your'e not maintaining tension, so your grip doesn't change. Quick adjustments can be made by angling the mono pod. Not for everyone, just another tool to consider and it does add about 7 oz when attached.Last edited by RideWest; 05-14-2021, 8:00 AM.Comment

Never been a fan of rear mono-pods. I guess it's better than nothing if you don't have a bag.Comment

Now that a lot of folks have their Cross back from the recall. We are starting to see more load development and smaller group sizes. 41.5 grains seems to be a good powder weight for 6.5 CM with 140 gr bullets using either H4350 or RL16.
Check out SH if you want to see their range results. But the rifle does seem to be capable of shooting .4-.5” groups off a bipod with the powder loads described above. The .308 crowd is getting good results as well.Comment

Still don't see any of the rifles in shops. I'm not ordering something that expensive, and variable in quality, online.Comment

Guess I am a little confused by your post. It sounded like you are leaning towards high end rifles like MPA, that guarantee group sizes. Why would you consider a Cross which is $2k dollars less, an expensive rifle. Given your own opinion of it’s quality, I am shocked that you would consider owning one at all.Last edited by RideWest; 05-18-2021, 1:21 PM.Comment

My trigger locks half way between safe and fire after it came back from Sig recall fix.
I have fire, safe? and safe. Anyone else having this issue?Comment

Muzzle Brake
A couple of popular ones are the little bastard brake from precision arms and the hellcat from area 419. Both of these are self timing brakes. I own the little bastard on mine in 6.5 CM.
You might want a review from someone with a .308 because it will be different, but both brakes work. Mine is great when your behind it, not much recoil. But if your off to the side, you do get some muzzle blast.
As a side note, the Cross is coming with a 20 MOA rail from the factory.Comment
