Eggleston 125 gr bullets in 357 lever

any idea how hard you can push these? Only find data for pistols. Have them already. Would like to load them up for my 20" lever, any help much appreciated as I've never reloaded 357, lots of rifle reloading. So familiar with process and would like to push em a little

Load like you would a revolver. Expect about 100-150 fps more velocity from the rifle.

Are they jacketed? or plated... 'cuz plated bullets have a speed limit of roughly 1200 - 1250 ish feet per second (according to Berry's Bullets webpage).

Checking their website, there is no load data for .357, only .38 Special. All velocities shown for various calibers are in the 1,000fps range, very low power.
They recommend using plated or cast lead load data if their recommendations are not followed. "Polymer Coated" is their description.

Personally, I would stay with JHP for higher velocities.

What powder will you be using?

Per Apples comment, I treat plated and coated the same. 1200 fps is the velocity target.

For full tilt 357 mag loads, I use FMJ and magnum powders. 357 Magnum is capable of achieving velocities of 2100 to 2200fps with 125 grain bullets. I don't go near that.

WW296 & H110 work great for those, but IME the best accuracy with those powders are going to be with 158 grain jacketed bullets. In a lever rifle, a good 158 JSP makes a dandy short range deer load.
